How to Write a Bill Story That Gets Swiped Right
Practical tips for the short story field on Bored Billionaire uploads.

Payers swipe fast. Your story has seconds, not chapters. The goal is not to win a writing contest. The goal is to make the photo and the number make sense.
Keep it human and specific
- Name the bill type and the due window
- Say what happens if it is not paid
- Mention what you already covered, if anything
- Skip guilt trips - clarity converts
- Match the photo: blur account numbers if you need privacy, keep totals readable
A simple structure that works
Sentence one: what the bill is. Sentence two: why timing matters. Sentence three: what a swipe unlocks. Example: “February rent balance is $1,050. Paycheck lands after the late fee deadline. A swipe covers the gap so I keep housing.”
What to avoid
- All-caps panic with no numbers
- Copy-pasted essays that ignore the uploaded document
- Asking for “whatever you can spare” when the bill has a fixed total
- Details you would not want living on a shared screen forever
After you publish
Share your bill link with people who already trust you. The deck helps with strangers; your network still helps with speed. Lead with the need, not the novel.
